Greetings everyone!

I would like to make an announcement.
As some of you may know so far from other artists on here, I am a co-creator of a transformation RPG on Gaia Online called In The Cape of Fear (Cape Fear or CF for short). It is an RP based in the modern day Cape Fear area of North Carolina's Outer Banks and is grounded into reality. Unlike most of the current RPs out there that have the transformations induced by injections or mystical forces, CF attempts different ground with the material. While some mystical forces could be perceived to be involved, it's not of alien origin. The RP deals with transformations influenced on a psychological level.

So far, the RP has gone fairly well albeit slow due to the limited amount of people involved, particularly with most of the characters being male. So, I wanted to put out an announcement for anyone interested in RPing a female character for this RP who is interested. All you need to do is look over the main page of the guild and read the required reading materials. The main page can be found here. After that, just send a PM to =Ageaus or I with your character sheets and we will review them.

In other news, I have become an adopted father apparently.
My parents brought home a blue tick hound/labador mixed pup a few weeks ago. Her name is Jerri and guess who she took to as her daddy. Yep, me. Not that I mind. I absolutely adore her and have no problem acting as a father figure to her. She is very attached to me too. If I am not in the room and she can't get to me, she will whine & cry. She will also not sleep if I am not near and she will only sleep on my bed usually. So every night, she goes to bed with me. It's nice to have someone to look after as a child.

She's also teething really bad right now. Anything she can find (which is everything), she'll chew on it. But otherwise she is well behaved, already housebroken, and has learned to do a lot on her own that she use to rely on me to do for her. For those of you curious to see what she looks like, here are some pics:

Also, to report back on my views on Dead Silence now that I have seen it (twice), I must say I absolutely loved it. The film, despite its typical advertising campaign that made it so unappealing to me to begin with, is a great throwback to British Hammer horror film with spades of Italian giallo. This is a very old school horror movie. Hell, it even features the first Universal Studios logo at the beginning just to prove so. The film has a very classy, gothic atmosphere throughout and concentrates on just that and the story to slowly unnerve you rather than throw a bunch of boo scares and gore at you constantly to keep the attention spans of the ADD inclined audiences of today.

However, it is due to this fact that I know the film bomb, especially with the flashy advertising campaign it had. People will go in expecting some quickly cut adrenaline ride to kill a couple hours time, not to mention most people these days don't have the patience or respect to enjoy such films with an old school approach which I know from personal experience. One thing that also really irked me about the advertising campaign is they used a godawful song (of the "stab my heart because I love you" variety) from some emo band named Aiden to promote the film with. Man did that make me groan and roll my eyes. The song isn't even in the movie either. However, the song they actually use in the movie (and was damn good too) isn't featured on the soundtrack while the crappy emo song is.

Meh, oh well.
I guess Universal will have to learn from trying to give the movie a flashy appeal when it was designed in a very different, classic style.
